The whale wrote its own chorus
Moby-Dick contains 48,327 connections between its words. We measured them, and a melody fell out — one note per connection, nothing invented. Then we measured the words the same way, and out of 210,000 of them the structure surfaced its own refrain: The White Whale, the White Whale. No human chose that line. It was simply the most connected point in the book — the mathematics found it without knowing it was famous. The song is Melville's structure singing itself, in its own words, on its own melody.
Software has a key signature
We measured 341 codebases across eight languages and found a law: as human logic grows it centralizes and thins out. That shape is audible. Sonified, the most distributed architectures come back bright and fast; the ones ruled by a single dominant hub come back dark and slow. Nobody assigned those keys — they fall out of the graph. A web framework and a package manager are in different modes, and you can hear which is which.
